2025 Winter taxes were due 02/14/2026. Since that date was a Saturday, and Monday 02/16/2026 was the President's Day (legal holiday), payments will be accepted on Tuesday 02/17/2026 without penalty.
As per the General Property Tax Act of the State of Michigan, a 3% penalty will be applied to all 2025 property tax balances still outstanding starting on 02/18/2026.
As a reminder - payments can be made in the following ways:
By mail to 2735 W. Giles Rd, Muskegon, MI 49445
In person at the Township Hall located at 2735 W. Giles Rd, Muskegon, MI 49445
In person at the Township Hall in the "after hours" drop box on the west side of the building. Do Not put cash in the drop box.
In person at any Choice One Bank (must have your tax bill with you)
Online - click on the "Bill Pay" button on the home page of this website and follow the prompts - fees apply (which are charged by the payment processing company, not Laketon Township).
