Cemetery Notice – Damaged and Unused Urns
As part of the cemetery yearly maintenance the township conducts cleanups of damaged and unused urns in the cemetery. Urns that have remained unused for three (3) years, are damaged, deteriorated, or no longer being maintained will be removed as part of this process. Unused urns will be flipped, and small dots will be placed on the bottom, one dot for each year.
This work is necessary to help keep the cemetery grounds safe, orderly, and properly maintained for all families and visitors. We understand that cemetery items can have sentimental value, and we want to provide notice to families before any items are removed.
If you believe you may have an urn that could be affected, or if you have questions regarding this process, please contact the Township Office as soon as possible.
