Absentee Ballots for the November 3, 2026, General Election have been mailed out (9/28). If you are on the permanent absentee ballot list, expect to receive your absentee ballot within the next couple days. WAYS TO RETURN YOUR ABSENTEE BALLOT: 1. Mail it in the prepaid return envelope to Laketon Township Hall. 2. Take it directly to the township's clerk's office. (2735 W. Giles Road) 3. Use the secure ballot drop box located on the west side of the township hall. (2735 W. Giles Road) 4. Take it to the early voting site. See additional information on early in-person voting. 5. Take it to your polling place on election day. ABSENTEE BALLOT REMINDERS: If you have requested and received an absentee ballot, that is your ballot for the election. If you decide you would rather vote in person, please bring your absentee ballot with you to the polls and vote that ballot in person. When voters arrive at the polls without their absentee ballot, it can create additional steps, delays, and frustration for the voter, voters waiting in line and for election workers who are trying to assist them.
